Arvid M. Haack

Arvid Melvin Haack, age 77 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, February 22, from a courageous battle with cancer. 

Public visitation will be 12:00 – 1:30pm Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a private funeral to be held after. Burial will be at Savidge Lake Cemetery, Cleveland. A recording of the service will be available here at a later date.

Arvid Melvin Haack was born on May 5, 1943, to Sally and Peter Haack. He was the second oldest of 4 children.  On July 21, 1961, he married the love of his life, Ethel Oldenkamp.  They built their home in Cleveland, Minnesota, where they raised three children.  

Arvid enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family.  Throughout his life he was an avid, passionate camper, hunter and bass fisherman.  Arv began his career at ADC Products in St. Peter until moving on to the AmericInn Hotel & Suites where he worked for 25 years.  

Arvid is survived by his 3 children: Ronald (Sylvia), Tammy (Roy), Steven (Kathy); 8 grandchildren Amy, Kelly, Kevin (Amber), Elizabeth, Maria, Joanna, Veronica, and Susanna;  8 great grandchildren;  1 brother Fred (Diane), 2 sisters Lorna (Bernie) and Ardina (Norm); and many nieces and nephews.  Arv was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
