Beatrice “Bea” Roscoe, age 82 of Saint Peter, MN died February 25, 2026 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter.
Memorial Service is 12:00pm Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter MN. Visitation is 4:00-7:00pm Friday, March 13th and 11:00am Saturday all at the church. To view livestream or leave a condolence for the family, visit www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.
A wife, a mom, a grandma, a daughter, a sister, a friend…a life well lived and deeply loved.
Bea Roscoe was born November 29, 1943, in New Ulm, MN, to Elroy C. and Laura (Lind) Webster. She attended country school at District 65 in New Sweden Township, Nicollet County, MN through 5th grade and graduated from Gaylord High School, Gaylord, MN in 1961. She went on to attend Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Bea taught elementary school in Anaheim and Huntington Beach, CA from 1965 to 1972. She was united in marriage to Bernard W. Roscoe on December 18, l966 at Scandian Grove Lutheran Church in rural St. Peter, MN.
Bea and her husband Bernie lived in California until 1973 when they moved to Little Falls, MN with their young daughter Leah and where their son Matthew was born.
They also lived and worked in Long Prairie, Brainerd/Baxter, Aitkin and in 2022 moved to St. Peter, MN. Bea was involved in long-term substitute teaching for many years. She continued her education and obtained her Pre-School teacher’s license through St Cloud State University and worked in the Early Childhood Programs as a pre-school teacher for the Long Prairie Fresh Water Co-op and the Brainerd School District from 1983 until 2008 when she retired. It was a job she loved and always said she would still be there if she could gracefully get up off the floor when working with the little people!!
Throughout their marriage Bea and Bernie enjoyed their family time together with their two children, Leah and Matthew, being involved with them and their school and church activities. Bea was also involved with the Jaycee Women of Little Falls, was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir. While living in Aitkin MN, Bea was a member of First Lutheran Church, a longtime member of the Friends of the Aitkin Library, the Friends of the Arts, participated in CM TEC 242 and served on the Patient and Family Advisory Counsel for the Aitkin Riverwood Hospital and enjoyed working on many community activities over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, reading, summertime fishing, mowing the lawn, and golfing and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sports activities.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents Elroy & Laura Webster, her brother Douglas in
December 2003, brother Elroy in June 2006 and brother Robert in 2019 and her sister Carolyn in August 2022. She is survived by her husband, Bernie of St Peter, MN. They were married 59 years and 2 months. She is also survived by her daughter Leah and son-in-law Jeff Bridger and grandsons Kyle and Nathan of Eagle Lake, MN, son Matthew Roscoe and daughter-in-law Sherryl and granddaughter Abigail and grandson Harvey of Aitkin, MN, sisters-in-law Sally Webster of Mendota Heights MN and Chris Enterline of LaMirada, CA and many relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Friends of the Aitkin Public Library, Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Programs (St. Peter, MN) or the donor’s choice.
