Carollee Y. Blank

Carollee Blank, age 92, of Kasota, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026 at St. Peter Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at Zion Cemetery (family cemetery) in rural Nicollet. 

Carollee Yvonne Blank was born on June 26, 1934, in Wells, MN to William and Alma (Grunzke) Bathke. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Wells High School in 1952, and went on to Mankato Commercial College. On October 23, 1954, Carollee married Lowell Blank at St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Wells, MN. They lived in rural Nicollet until 1958 when they moved to rural Kasota where she helped farm. She had been a long time member of Hilltop United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking. Later in life she enjoyed listening to Sunday morning worship services and the MN Twins on the radio.

Carollee is survived by her children: Debra(Mark) Birr and Scott Blank. Sister: Connie (Al) Tesch. Brother: Russell (Rita) Bathke. Brother-in-laws: Armin Schull and Clifford Blank. Sister-in-laws: Lois Steece and Kathy Blank.

Carollee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2013, and sisters: Jeanette Schull, and Marilyn (Victor) Stewart. In-laws: Vernon (Elaine) Blank, Earl Blank, Harlan (Mary) Blank, and Judy Blank, and Joseph Steece.
