Charlotte V. Friedrichs

Charlotte Veronica Friedrichs, age 76, of St. Peter passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m., on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the St. Peter Funeral Home. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charlotte was born November 6, 1944 in Bird Island to Carl and Anastasia (Bertamus) Schmoll. She graduated from Bird Island High School, then went to cosmetology school in Mankato, where she became a licensed beautician. She married John Thomas “Jack” Friedrichs on June 1, 1968 at St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church, Mankato. Together they had four children. She stayed home to raise their children until 1984, when she began working at Creation Technologies. Charlotte looked forward to going to work each day, where she created lifelong friendships.

Charlotte found joy in cooking and baking. Anyone stopping in for family gatherings knew she had spent hours preparing, and that there would be enough food to feed an army. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, and dominoes. She crafted often and made many heartfelt gifts for those she loved. Charlotte enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She looked forward to celebrating holidays with her family. Charlotte loved life, but by far her greatest love was for her grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Jack Friedrichs; children, Chris “CJ” (Kate) Friedrichs, Stacie Friedrichs, Angie Voss, and Bryan (Jenene) Friedrichs; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Rose (Earl) Lanoue, and Carlene (Merlin) Maxwell. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, George Schmoll, Catherine (Edward) Paradis, Viola (Clayton) Ellingson, Marcella (Syl) Eischens, and Georgie Ann (Francis) Mortier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association.
