Dennis Keith Jackson

Dennis Keith Jackson, age 76, of St. Peter, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 from complications of COVID -19.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be at Kasota Hill Cemetery in Kasota. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dennis Keith Jackson was born January 4, 1944 to Grant and Viola (Smoldt) Jackson in Kandiyohi County, Atwater, Minnesota. He was one of 15 children. He graduated from Atwater High School. On November 4, 1972 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sandra Aline Enter. From this union, they had two wonderful sons. Dennis worked as a Carpenter Foreman for the Carpenters Union of Mankato, MN for 18 years. His greatest achievement was starting his own construction company “Dennis Jackson Carpentry” and sharing his love and knowledge of building with his sons. He retired in 2006. After Sandra retired, they spent their winters in Texas and Arizona. Dennis enjoyed spending time in his workshop, going fishing, gardening, playing cards, having coffee and shaking dice with friends. He always had a smile and a joke or two to tell. Sandra and Dennis traveled to all 50 states . They also went on many nice cruises and toured many other countries. His greatest joy was the time he spend with his family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra; son, Justin (Jayme) and their children, Jace and Avea of Florida Keys; son, Ward and his daughter, Haley of Mankato; special little friend, Kaela Robinson. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
