Georgia Jackson, age 68 of St. Peter, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health, Mankato.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, October 2nd at Sunrise Church of St. Peter with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm Thursday, October 1st at the church and one hour prior to services Friday.
Georgia Ann was born November 13. 1951 in Mankato to Franklin and Margaret (Bartsch) Klaseus. She was united in marriage to Rand John Jackson on September 12, 1976 in St. Peter. They made their home on St. Peter and she was employed at Minnesota State, Mankato for over 35 years. Georgia was active at church, loved watching sports (including the Vikings, Moondogs and Mavericks), having coffee with friends, sewing and especially time with her grandchildren.
Left to remember Georgia are her husband, Rand; daughter, Melissa (Aaron) Howe; grandchildren: Zachary (Dani) Rewald, Cameron Jackson, Christian (Amira Mendoza) Holmes, Lucas Howe, Logan Howe and Ireland Howe; great granddaughter Harper Rewald; siblings: Joseph (Delores Bock) Klaseus, Duane Klaseus, Dennis (Betty) Klaseus, Sheila Gilsrud, Brenda (Gene) Duncan, and Gladys (Alvin Kline) Klaseus; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Klaseus; mother, Margaret Deutsch; step father Melvin Deutsch; siblings: Darlene Morgan and Edward Klaseus; brother-in-law- Daniel Gilsrud; and sister-in-law Linda Klaseus.
