Gerald "Jerry" Lee Strand

Gerald 'Jerry' Strand, 82 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 27, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1942. He was survived by his children: Kacey (David Pehrson), Ricky Strand and Randy 'Michael' (Christina) Ivorsen; his siblings, Clayton (Sheryl), Gloria Pettis, Pam (Jay Pudwill) and Brian (Kim); 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; infants: Patrick and Rebecca; son Michael; parents, Clifford and Shirley; and favorite Uncle Arvid Strand.

Jerry spent 4 years in the Navy and served on the USS Mississinewa. Through his working career he had several jobs including trucking and heavy equipment operator with the 49rs Union. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and had a lifetime enjoyment of motorcycles, the car culture through the Jolly Rodders Car Club and racing with Uncle Porky. He was an avid shooter and wood worker and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Later in life the highlight of his day was breakfast at the Nicollet Cafe with Nestle and Al.

Visitation will be Monday, December 9th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the St. Peter Funeral Home.
