Gilbert J. "Gil" Hoehn

April 12, 1935 — September 25, 2020

Gilbert "Gil" Hoehn, age 85 of St. Peter, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at Pheasants Ridge in St. Peter.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am Tuesday, September 29th at the Catholic Church of St. Peter with visitation at 9:30am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter.

Gilbert Jerome was born April 12, 1935 in Madison Lake to Clarence and Lydia (Klein) Hoehn. As a young boy the family moved to Mankato, and he graduated from Mankato High. On September 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Jeannette Parsons at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter. Gil was employed at the St. Peter Security Hospital until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Red Men Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting ducks, being at the lake cabin, and especially time with family. He and Jeannette enjoyed retirement until her passing in 2002. He then married Irene Miller on November 22, 2003.

Left to remember Gil are his wife, Irene; children: Cindy (Richard) Heilman, Greg (Julie) Hoehn and Jeff Hoehn; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Rosy) Hoehn; sister, Diane (Bob) Hahn; many nieces and nephews; and all of Irene’s family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannette; daughter Debbie Hoehn; and sisters: Audrey Decker and Janice Miller.
