Janice Mae Johnson

Janice Mae (Knutson) Johnson passed away Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the age of 83. Janice was born on May 5, 1941 in Blooming Prairie, MN to parents Orville and Helen (Dahl) Knutson. She attended Westfield County School through 8th grade, then went to Dodge Center High School and graduated in 1959 from Blooming Prairie High School. After graduation she worked at Federated Insurance, Owatonna Tool Co., and then Grandview Nursing Home in Saint Peter for 22 years. Janice met the love of her life and moved to Saint Peter. Larry Johnson & Janice were married on October 3, 1964 in Owatonna, MN at Trinity Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, fishing, puzzles & canning. They spent 16 years wintering in Arizona, vacationing also in Wyoming, Canada and California with family. She will be greatly missed by all.

Janice is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Larry; siblings: Donna Herzog and Carol (Glenn) Kruckeberg; sisters-in-law: Sharon Knutson, Bev Johnson and Valloria Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Helen & Orville Knutson; siblings: Robert Knutson, Audrey (Randy) Krupicka, Arthur Knutson, Arlen (Linda) Knutson, Gary Knutson; brothers-in-law: Duane Herzog, Elroy "Buster" Johnson, Clarence "Tim" Johnson; sisters-in-law: Lois (Laverne) Overson, Betty (Bill) Westerman, Sandy (Charles) Alt.

Memorial service is 11:00am Saturday, July 27, 2024 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be later date at the Westfield Church Cemetery, rural Blooming Prairie.
