Jeannie Elizabeth Stransky Lindgren passed away at her home in Hutchinson, Minnesota, on October 15, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28th, 2026 at the St. Peter Funeral Home. Jeannie will be laid to rest at a private service the following day at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna, MN.
Jeannie was born on July 8, 1973, in Winona, Minnesota. She attended John Ireland Elementary School and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1991. She went on to attend Minnesota State University in Mankato, earning her degree in education in 1995.
Jeannie enjoyed gymnastics throughout high school and continued sharing her love of the sport as a gymnastics coach after college. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including getting lost in a good book, warm weather, spending time at the lake, baking, and watching Lifetime movies. Jeannie cherished the simple moments of happiness more than anything. She was a delight to those around her, always willing to help others and bringing joy to her family and friends.
Above all, Jeannie’s greatest love was her three daughters, Lilia, Maddie, and Violet, who were the loves of her life. She shared her daughters with Brad Lindgren and treasured her family above all else. Her love will live on through her daughters, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Jeannie is survived by her daughters, Lilia (Hayden) DeGross, Madeline, and Violet; loving parents, William and Phyllis Stransky; brother, Dan (Angie) Stransky; and nieces, Ava and Liv; along with many other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emil and Rita Stransky, and Clarence and Alice Eggers, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Although Jeannie’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave and the memories she created will endure. She will be remembered for her kind heart, willingness to help others, love for her family, and the simple joys she was able to share with others. Her legacy will live on through her daughters, the stories shared by those who loved her, and the countless moments that will forever be cherished.
