Kathy Vereker

Kathy Vereker, age 74 of Le Sueur, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Services will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.

Kathy was born July 31, 1951 in Hamburg, MN to William F. and Hazel M. (Doheny) Flannery. She was raised rural Hamburg and graduated from Norwood – Young America High School. She later moved to California. Kathy was united in marriage to Daniel Vereker and had two sons. After his passing, she married James Peterson, and in their retirement found their way back to MN. Kathy enjoyed nature, arts such as painting and photography, and most importantly spending time with her family.

Left to remember Kathy are her husband, James Peterson; sons: Richard, and Michael (Ashley) Vereker; grandchildren: Oliver and Harper; siblings: Susan Williams, and Lawrence (Linda) Flannery; sister-in-law Gloria Flannery; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel; parents; and siblings: William Flannery Jr., Alice Nickerson, Rosemary Nitti, Emma Youle, Paddy Keeley/Nitti, and John Flannery.
