In Loving Memory of Kayla Jo Hoffman

Kayla Jo Hoffman, age 23, of Saint Peter, Minnesota, gained her angel wings on August 27, 2026, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with her loving family by her side.

Kayla was born on October 1, 2002, at ISJ in Mankato, Minnesota. She graduated from Saint Peter High School with the Class of 2021.

Kayla was a genuine, warm-hearted, friendly, unrequitedly authentic, sincere, kind, silly, helpful and a one of a kind young woman whose presence brought light wherever she went. Her radiant smile and contagious giggles could light up an entire room. She had a funny, loving spirit and a way of making the people around her feel special. Can’t forget about her stubbornness and “Not Yet” moments. She will be forever remembered as “Our Girl.”

Kayla loved celebrating life. She enjoyed birthday parties, celebrations, Christmas, Easter, lots of gifts, going to Applebee’s, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Family meant everything to Kayla, and some of her happiest moments were those spent together with the people she loved.

One of the most precious relationships in Kayla’s life was the special bond she shared with her dad. Kayla was her dad’s best friend. Their connection was one of a kind, filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever.

Kayla is survived by her loving parents, Merle and Shelley Hoffman; sisters, Amanda Rae (Bradley) Suess and Jessica Rose Hoffman; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Lannaeh, Lashaun, Jordan, Lareona, Breeana, Latrell, Taylor, Lavejah, and Lamiah.

She is also survived by her grandmother, Melva Leonard (Hoffman); godparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; friends; and countless others whose lives were touched by her kindness, laughter, beautiful smile, and loving heart.

Kayla is welcomed into heaven by her maternal grandmother, Roberta Peterson; maternal grandfather, Darwin Wahl; and paternal grandfather, Delmer Hoffman.

Kayla’s life may have been far too short, but the love she gave was immeasurable. Her smile, her giggles, her sense of humor, her love of celebrations, and the joy she brought to her family will remain in their hearts forever.

Remembrance of Kayla’s life will be held on Friday September 11th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Saint Peter, with visitation from 10am-11am, and services to start at 11am. Lunch to follow.
