Kenneth C. Mortenson

June 16, 1953 — November 2, 2025

St. Peter, MN

Kenneth Clayton Mortenson (72) passed away on November 2, 2025 in Saint Peter, MN.

Ken was born and raised in Glenwood MN. He served in the US Air Force notably stationed in Okinawa, Japan, which was the subject of many stories and memories for him. In 1979 he married Melody, together raising three fierce daughters.

Ken wanted to sample every hobby until he found what stuck. He had a wide variety of interests, including fishing, hunting, motocross, darts, pool, golf, shooting trap among other things. You could always count on him to have a sharp pocket knife and a random fact to share. In his later life, he moved to Saint Peter, MN. He surprised himself by making meaningful friendships and connections. Few things lit him up like visits from family, especially his beautiful grandchildren. Ken will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Donna. Ken is survived by his daughters Danielle (Blake), Amanda (Travis), Nicole (Tyler), and his grandchildren, Ashton, Quinn, Emilia and Dezhur as well as 5 siblings, their families and many friends.

A celebration of Life and luncheon will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov 29, 2025 at the Fridley American Legion Post 303.
