LaVonne Kay Loeffler, age 59, of St. Peter, died Monday, January 26, 2026, from early onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., February 21, 2026, at the St. Peter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
LaVonne was born August 24, 1966, to Wayne P. and Karen R. (Rieke) Loeffler in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1985 and then from South Central Vo-Tech, North Mankato with a degree in graphic arts. LaVonne worked for the Home Magazine for many years. LaVonne eventually became a caregiver for her parents in their later years. She was kind-hearted, loving and a compassionate individual with an enjoyable presence. Despite the challenges she faced later in life, her warmth, kindness, and unique spirit will always be remembered. She loved watching movies, putting together puzzles and spending time with her friends. A special bond was established with her caregivers in the later years as her Alzheimer’s disease progressed. Alzheimer’s may have taken her from us, but it can never erase the beautiful legacy she left behind.
Left to remember LaVonne is her brother, Lynn (Deb) Loeffler, of Cleveland; two nephews, Grant (Emily) Loeffler and Nicholas (Mary) Loeffler; great-niece, Kylie; aunt, Marjorie Kroehler; several cousins including, David Kroehler, Cheryl (Curt) Blaschko and James (Brenda) Kroehler; lifelong best friend, Laurie; and extended family.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; uncle, John Kroehler; and extended family.
