Lois Margaret Woelpern

Lois M. Woelpern, age 91, of St. Peter passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughter and bonus kids on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mankato Mayo Hospice.

Lois was born to Helen and James Cook on February 23, 1930 in Beatrice, Nebraska. Lois then moved to Minnesota with her family as a young child and grew up in the Mankato area. She met Richard (Dick) Woelpern, and they were united in marriage on August 15, 1948. They built a home in St. Peter and raised 5 children: Ronald, David, Daniel, Chuck and Kelly. Lois enjoyed gardening plants and flowers, reading, trips to the casino, and her many beloved dogs.

Lois is survived by her son, David (Bobbi); daughter, Kelly; grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan, Justin; great-grandchildren, Daisy, Abigail, Aiden, Julia, and Shelby; sister, Pat. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Ron, Dan, and Chuck; grandchildren, Curt, and Ben.
