Mary Louise Thieman

Mary Louise Thieman, age 92 of St. Peter, passed away on May 19, 2026 at her home.

Mary Louise was born June 18, 1933 in St. Peter to Silas and Esther (Pehrson) Gunderson and is a 1951 graduate of St. Peter High School. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Thieman on June 23, 1951. Mary Lou was employed as a secretary at Nicollet County public Health for over 26 years. In retirement, she kept busy working at Traverse Des Sioux Garden Center, and with volunteer work at the St. Peter Thrift store, and the Church of St. Peter Funeral Lunch Committee. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed gardening, quilting, jigsaw puzzles, and most importantly spending time with her family.

Left to remember Mary Lou are her children: Gregory (Becky), Monica, Vincent (Linda), and Christopher (Staci); 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2013, infant daughter, and siblings: Chester Gunderson, and Jeanette Krussow.
