Michael David Hermanson

Michael (Mike) Hermanson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 39 on January 6, 2020. 

Funeral service is 11:00am Tuesday, January 14^th at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter.  Visitation will be 3:00-7:00pm Monday at St. Peter Funeral Home and 10:00am Tuesday at church.

He was born to David & Vicki (Widdifield) Hermanson on September 2, 1980.  He graduated from Sibley East High School and Wyoming Tech majoring in mechanics.  He and Alie were married on Valentine’s Day 2004. Together they raised two amazing boys, Zach & Ryan. He enjoyed helping his boys with their 4-H livestock projects, playing video games with them, attending and encouraging them in their activities.  He was an amazing father and was so very proud of Zach & Ryan.  He was honored to be part of the St. Peter Fire Department which he joined on 1/1/10 and was still currently part of the Department.  Early in their marriage Alie & Mike enjoyed the Harley, traveling, bowling and golfing.

Mike liked tinkering with anything mechanical.  As he so often said, “He was a jack of all trades and a master of none.”

Michael had numerous jobs throughout his life and his most recent job was his own business Mike Hermanson Trucking.  He enjoyed working with local farmers during the spring & fall seasons.  It was special to him to be helping his dad with the family century farm.

He is survived by his wife, Alie, sons Zach & Ryan.  He is also survived by his parents Dave & Vicki, sister Michelle, grandparents Elaine Hermanson, Robert & Donna Widdifield and mother in law Roxi Castillo.  He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his brother, Micah and Grandpa Carroll Hermanson.
