Myron Kaduce, 86, of St. Peter, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, after a short illness.
Myron was born in Mapleton MN to Ervin and Verna Kaduce on June 1, 1939. Myron graduated from Mapleton High School in 1957. That same year, on August 1, he married his high school sweetheart, Ladonna. Shortly after, the young couple moved to South Dakota, where Myron began his career with Morrison-Knudsen, helping to build missile silos for the Department of Defense. During this time, they welcomed their first child, Donna Gail.
Myron’s work with Morrison-Knudsen took the family across the United States and eventually to Altus, Oklahoma, where their son Mark Myron was born. The family's journey continued to Canada, where Myron served as a foreman on the construction of the largest natural earth material dam in the country at that time.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be closer to family, Myron and Ladonna returned to Mapleton and founded Minnesota Hog Farm Equipment (MN Hog). Through hard work and perseverance, they grew the business into a vital part of the local economy and community.
A true adventurer at heart, Myron lived life to the fullest. He and Ladonna shared a love for bowling, dancing, and playing cards with friends and family. Myron enjoyed fishing trips with his son and grandsons and cherished the memories made on motorcycle trips to Alaska, often accompanied by his brother and grandson. He also shared many joyful moments playing Bingo with his wife and daughter.
After Ladonna’s passing, Myron found love again and married Doris Stoffregen on June 17, 2007. Together they enjoyed their life in St. Peter, traveling by motorcycle, convertible, or tour bus—always savoring the journey as much as the destination.
Myron enjoyed being a member of the Redmen Club. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and, after moving to St. Peter, joined Bernadotte Lutheran Church.
Myron will be remembered for his love of family, his infectious smile, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to kindness. He had a rare ability to make a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ladonna, daughter Donna, parents Ervin and Verna, brothers Richard and Larry, in-laws, brother-in-law Duane, and nephew William.
Myron is survived by his loving wife Doris; son Mark (Holly); grandsons Cody (Zara), Caleb (Heather), and Lance; son-in-law Dan; great-granddaughter Sylvie; sisters Betty (Fred), Phyllis (Jody), and Karen (Larold); step-daughters Kathy, Sherri (Scott), Gail (Darius); and five step-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with Redmen honors at 5:00 at St. Peter Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, (Lafayette) with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Mapleton, MN.
