Nancy A. Block

Nancy A. Block, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur.

Memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Cleveland with visitation at 10:00am. Memorials can be directed toward the church, or the Cleveland American Legion Auxiliary. www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com

Nancy Anne was born December 14, 1938 in St. Paul to Robert J. and Mary B. (Mick) Van Duzee. She was raised in St. Paul, graduating from St. Paul Johnson High School and continued her education, receiving her LPN. During LPN training, she spent time at the St. Peter State Hospital, where she met Floyd Ziebarth. The two married on August 31, 1958 in Clear Lake Iowa and made their home in Cleveland until his passing. Nancy would work at the state hospital through her career for more than 30 years until retirement. After a lengthy courtship, she later married Clayton Block in 1988 and enjoyed 32 years of marriage until his passing in 2020.

Nancy was a member of the Cleveland American Legion Auxiliary, the Degree of Pocahontas Osceola #30 in St. Peter, and a very active volunteer at Our Savior’s with choir and helping decorating the church. She loved music, playing piano, gardening, canning, cooking, swimming, traveling (including trips to China, Italy, and Greece among many others), reading, crafting, decorating for Christmas, and was always willing to help others.

Left to remember Nancy are her three sons: Scott Ziebarth, David Ziebarth and wife Pam Lang, and Steven Ziebarth; Grandchildren: Kyle Ziebarth, Amber (Kory) Nelson, Andrew Ziebarth, Karna Ziebarth, and Macey Ziebarth; Great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Ariana, & Ace Nelson; Sister Katheryn Ruiz; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: father John Van Duzee (1978); mother Mary Belle Mick Van Duzee (1994); daughter Linda Jeanne Ziebarth (1965); husbands: Floyd Ziebarth (1975) and Clayton Block (2020); and Brother Terrance Van Duzee (2012).
