Nicole J. Straka

Nicole J. Straka, 45, passed away September 2, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She passed away due to injuries that she had obtained during a car accident. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Saint Peter Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:30pm prior to the service. In honor of Nicole, memorials may be donated to the M.S. Society.

Nicole was born on February 28, 1979 in Mankato, Minnesota to Kathleen and Gary Wass. She graduated from Saint Peter High School.

Nicole enjoyed reading, doing her dot-to-dot workbooks, spending time with her friends, family, and animals. She will be remembered for her outgoing and caring personality.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Gary, and Kathleen (Mattes) Wass, and her two children, Matthew, and Ariel Straka, her brother Gary Wass Jr., grandmother Leona Wass, nephew Aiden Wass, niece Jolee Wass, and many cousins Tracy, Kris, Andrea, Ryan, Michelle, Amanda, and Stacy, and aunts and uncles, her two special dogs Kadi and Parker and her three cats Luna, Trinity, and Psycho.
