Peggy Wenner

Peggy (Margaret) Louise Wenner, 58 of St. Peter, passed away August 21, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00a.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Church of St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Church of St. Peter and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. The family prefers memorials be given to ALS Association, Minnesota Chapter. St. Peter Funeral Home, Klein Chapel is assisting the family.

Peggy was born September 28, 1960 to Alvin Olson and Esther (Pettit) Benson in Minneapolis. She graduated from Mankato East High School in 1978 and attended Mankato Area Vocational Technical Institute for accounting. On September 19, 1981 she married Steven Wenner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Peter. Together they raised three children, Matthew, Jason, and Amy. Peggy worked for many years in St. Peter as a Senior Court Clerk for Nicollet County. In her free time, Peggy enjoyed shopping, going to concerts and musicals, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Matthew (Breanna) Wenner, Jason (Anna) Wenner, and Amy (Eric) Zempel; grandchildren, Eli, Waylon, Charlotte, and a grandson due in September; uncle, Bud Skeslien; siblings, Mike, Mary, Rosalie, and Becky; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Merton Wenner; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Joe) Kienlen, Lisa Wenner, and Ann (Jeff) Volk; brothers-in-law, Brad (Dawn) Wenner, and Doug (Nancy) Wenner; many nieces and nephews; and exchange students, Marian, Maria, Alberto, André, Charlotte, and Alexandra. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Lorraine Skeslien; and sister-in-law, Yvette Wenner.
