ReVae Carlson Nygard, 84, of St. Peter, MN passed away peacefully on November 8, 2020.
ReVae was born on August 18, 1936 in Saint Peter to Wallace and Idella Carlson. After graduating from Saint Peter High School, she moved to the Twin Cities and worked as an administrative assistant at Minnesota Gas Company. In 1967, she married Doug Nygard. In 1979, they moved their family back to Saint Peter, where she worked and eventually retired from Don’s Appliance and TV.
ReVae was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also active in local organizations, including The Questers-Minnehaha Chapter and the Nicollet County Historical Society. She enjoyed volunteering and giving tours at the E. St. Julien Cox House, and she was an avid card player, playing bridge in multiple card clubs.
She is survived by her children, Don Nygard of Panama City, FL and Jennifer (Jack) Roberts of Le Sueur, MN, and her three granddaughters, Skylar and Baylee Nygard, and Jessica Roberts. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Doug Nygard.
Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday, November 13 at the St. Peter Funeral Home. ReVae will be buried next to Doug at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
