Robert "Googie" J. Noyd

Robert “Googie” J. Noyd, age 72, of St. Peter, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus with family by his side. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the Saint Peter Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Robert was born on February 24, 1947 to Curtis and Jennie (Anderson) Noyd. He attended St. Peter Schools. He served his country in the United States Army, both in Vietnam and the National Guard for 13 years. Robert married Melanie Schultz on July 15, 1966, and together had one daughter, Kristene Jenny.

Through Robert’s life he enjoyed golfing, watching the Vikings, and family time at their cabin on Lake Emily. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melanie; daughter, Kristene (Ron) Blaschko; grandchildren, Kassie Blaschko (Loren Dimmel), Brittany Blaschko (Jordan Rosacker) and Alex Blaschko (Brittanie Helton); great-grandchildren, Kaylee Dimmel, Jaxson Dimmel, Alliah Rosacker, Ryker Rosacker, and Monroe Blaschko; siblings, Harold Noyd, Rich (Judy) Noyd, Lorraine McAlister, Marv (Diane) Noyd and Linda Kelm; brothers-in-law, Curt (Anne) Schultz, Doug (Sherri ) Schultz; Dave Schultz, Quent Schultz, Ty Schultz, Doyle Schultz, and Leon Schultz; sisters-in-law, Cindy Kewatt, Angela Decko, and Marsha Becker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wally; father-in-law, Leon “Blackie” Schultz; mother-in-law, Lois Mueller; brother-in-law, Tex McAlister; niece, Rene Noyd; nephew, Jeremy Kewatt.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
