Ronald "Ron" Irvin Mealman

Ronald “Ron” Irvin Mealman, age 79 of St. Peter passed away at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the St. Peter Funeral Home.

Ron was born on November 27, 1942 in Tyler, MN to Kenneth and Mildred Mealman. He grew up and attended school in Balaton, MN and graduated with honors. Ron joined the US Army and served in Vietnam. He moved to Kasota, where he met the love of his life, Nancy. They were united in marriage on July 26, 1969, and together raised their three kids on their hobby farm outside of St. Peter. Ron loved farming, gardening, garage sales, and antique collecting of western memorabilia. He will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy; children, Julie (Jim) Anderson, Jim (Wendy) Mealman, and Tom Mealman; grandchildren, Elizabeth Anderson, Cody (Kelsie) Riebel, Jason (Rachel) Riebel; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Dayton, Kohen, Braylee, and baby Atlas; siblings, Donald Mealman, Dorothy Hudson; sister-in-law, Karen Mealman; beloved dog, Misty as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father in-law; brother, Robert Mealman; and brothers-in-law, Gordy, Leo, and Kevin.
